What to do with toys that have not been used? Your solidarity favors the rights of children

Christmas is coming and a toy trumpet is coming. But what about toys that children have not come to use? As every year, Red Cross launches a solidarity campaign to collect: "It is not for toys: your solidarity, your rights".

Because playing is a children's right, but unfortunately many do not have that possibility within reach. With a simple gesture, which surely will not take us much effort, we can make those toys that our children will no longer use reach other children.

It is a way to share and recycle, to join this campaign that has been presented a few days ago with which the Red Cross wants to collect more than 120,000 toys to distribute during the Christmas holidays to more than 80,000 children in poverty situation of all Spain.

The campaign is already underway and will run until January 2, and has more than 2,700 collection points in 49 provinces (Red Cross points, or collaborating organizations or companies). If you dare to be supportive of children's rights, you can check on this map which is the nearest collection point to your place of residence.

Those responsible indicate that they may donate new, non-war, non-sexist and, preferably, educational games and toys. And, regardless of the campaign, we want to raise public awareness about the educational value of the game.

New toys must ensure European safety conditions and regulations. It is intended that all children receive a toy worthy and suitable for their age, regardless of its economic value. And, as sensitizing agents in the prevention of violent behavior, they will not deliver war toys or weapons.

Once the toys are collected, from the Red Cross campaign "It's not for toys: Your solidarity, your rights" The toys are classified by age and type and are finally delivered to families. Surely many children will spend more pleasant parties thanks to this gesture ...
