Pregnancy in working women, an ethical issue

In The Salmon Blog yesterday they published an entry that refers to a very interesting post by Dioni Nespral, a specialist in business strategies, about of pregnancy at work and the discrimination that many working women still have to endure when they decide to have a child.

I cannot agree more with the point of view expressed in your post, of which I transcribe a part.

“The fact that a worker becomes pregnant is in the first place a reason for joy, Secondly a situation to analyze and make the right decisions taking into account the terms and functions of the position and thirdly is a special moment for the person. Being aware of these three issues should be normal, usual. ”

Yes, it should be, but it isn't. Unfortunately, the ghost of dismissal is still around when the woman who is pregnant communicates and does not speak if she intends to take a reduction in breastfeeding after maternity leave.

Pressures that a woman who is waiting for a baby does not have to suffer. And then they wonder why women don't want to have children. It is sad that many are forced to give up motherhood for fear of losing a good position within the company.

My God, how late we are! Since some bosses (whether men or women) do not understand morality, they could at least stop to think that these babies will pay their pensions in the future.

I invite you to read the entire post because it has no waste.
