Will homeschooling be recognized soon?

I can't assure you soon homeschooling be recognized, openly accepted and even regulated in Spain, however one thing is clear, much is being said about the subject and with respect. Everything seems to indicate that soon it will be easier in Spain to access this educational option.

Homeschooling It is an educational option extended throughout the democratic world, consistent with the rights of children to receive an education and with the right of parents to choose the way they want their children to receive it.

The laws of the countries of our environment give different solutions to these families but in Spain the situation remains unclear at the official level and children cannot access Spanish titles on equal terms if they wish.

A situation of comparative grievance that harms children, in addition to sometimes causing problems for some families when these students are considered absent. The reasons for educating at home are varied, but pedagogical, ideological and organizational prevail.

All studies in countries where homeschooling is common indicate that home-educated children have better academic results, good training and culture and develop a healthy and integrated social and personal life in accordance with democratic principles. Their lives are normal, they are sociable children and with a great desire to learn and, moreover, it is rare that anyone wishes to have learned otherwise the time they were homeschoolers.

The page of the Ministry of Education has published, in the bulletin in which it summarizes citizen contributions to the new Organic Law for the Improvement of Educational Quality, which have been numerous requests received in this regard.

In recent months there have been some meetings held with representatives of various associations or organizations and I especially highlight the intense campaign organized since the September 1 Initiative: Educational Freedom Day.

The September 1 Initiative: Educational Freedom Day It is working intensely and it has been proposed to flood the Ministry's mailbox with requests for the homeschooler's situation to be clarified without penalizing them either by age or by the educational option chosen, and they offer a model letter to which anyone, educate or not at home, It can be added by sending it personally to the Ministry's mail.

The Ministry has already made public that among the citizen requests that come to them is the recognition of homeschooling and, I have high hopes that thanks to the work of family organizations that educate at home and the September 1 Initiative, homeschooling will soon be recognized.
