#pontenmilugar: this violates the rights of children in everyday situations

On the occasion of Universal Children's Day celebrated on November 20, Educo, NGO for the defense and protection of children's rights, has launched the campaign #pontenmilugar created to make visible how children's rights are violated in everyday situations.

When talking about children's rights, we don't just talk about basic needs such as access to health and education. We also talk about protecting them in situations that occur every day in any home. Defending your rights is putting ourselves in your skin and work for your well-being in any circumstance.

In the video we can see scenes in which the roles are changed: parents play as children and children as parents. Under the idea that children are not "mini-adults" with "mini-rights" makes us reflect on how children feel with attitudes of parents that unfortunately are very real and frequent.

Many times, for lack of control, for not thinking before acting and ultimately, for not putting ourselves in their skin, we make them feel humiliated, ashamed, annulled, silenced, ridiculed ...

I invite you to do the exercise of put on the skin of children before scolding them, giving them an unpleasant answer or talking about them in public. Little by little you can change things and protect their rights as people.
