It happened at Terrassa City Hall last Saturday, when a couple was getting married and their sixteen-month-old daughter clung to her mother's arms to breastfeed her: the beautiful and curious photo of a mother getting married and breastfeeding.
As the Diari de Terrassa explains, it was already on the steps of the Town Hall that Rocío and Pedro's wedding was not going to be the typical wedding. She carried in her arms Rocío, her daughter, who decided that this special day was going to happen with her mother: "There was no way he would stay with his grandparents or anyone else," said the mother.
And for her, the little girl, everything was too strange so as not to look for his mother's arms, those that give affection and provide security.
And although it was not planned, he not only entered with them, with their parents, but also was with them during the wedding. But it was not enough ... that unknown place, her parents sitting and so many people around it was too much for the girl and although they tried to calm her down, she was beginning to ask for breast: "I was bothering a lot, so normally I took off my chest and gave her to breastfeed. "
And he also said, quite rightly, "The guests know my daughter but they did not expect to see the image of the bride giving breastfeeding. It is useless to make a super wedding, with a dress for the little one and a party for everything big, if you lose sight of what it really means, that is union and love. "
And so they offered an unusual image at weddings that we will probably see more and more times, first because more and more babies are breastfed over the year and second because more and more couples are marrying civilly, regardless of whether they have already formed a family.
