The benefits of singing

In addition to being very funny, sing develops a fundamental role in the child learning process.

When they are babies, music calms them, distracts them and entertains them. As they acquire language, apart from that, singing helps develop children's intelligence, creativity, arouses their imagination and their artistic sensibility.

As soon as the first words begin to babble, the songs with rhymes and the repetition of stanzas catch their attention. Even more so if we accompany the songs with gestures and move our hands while we sing.

Singing is good to reinforce memory. They find it much easier to memorize something in the form of a song with rhymed stanzas or in the form of poetry. Although it seems unusual, following the rhythm with palms or singing rhymes in a certain order helps them to become familiar with mathematical concepts and stimulates the development of logic.

Singing also helps them expand their vocabulary and increases their listening, memorizing and concentrating skills. The child who sings will learn to speak faster.

Humming, singing, clapping, zapating and playing instruments (even if it is hitting two wooden sticks) offers them the possibility to express themselves freely, to discover the immense world of creativity that music gives them.
