XIII edition of the Solidarity Week aimed at promoting the right of children to food

On our planet enough food is produced to feed 12,000 million people, but in spite of this, 850 million have serious problems to feed themselves daily. Up to 6 million children die each year as a result of hunger, the picture is quite bleak, especially for those who suffer from hunger in their flesh.

In industrialized countries food is thrown away, thousands of tons are thrown into the trash without any shame and while millions of children are starving. Many people are aware of this situation and try to contribute their grain of sand to solve the serious problem, at least for the little ones. Aid in Action volunteers have agreed to allocate the XIII edition of the Solidarity Week to promote a basic and fundamental right, the right of children to food. 30 Spanish cities will organize on May 29 different activities aimed at sensitizing the population, we can contribute to the initiative simply by going to participate in any of the activities they will organize, competitions, games, workshops or the sale of Action Aid materials whose Benefits will be destined to various centers located in Peru in order to provide them with food and school supplies.

Solidarity is necessary for a better future for many children.
