Nowadays, parents take care of the upbringing and care of their children in the same way that mothers do, but unfortunately, they often encounter certain details that although they may seem banal or inconsequential, they are not at all. We are referring to baby changers in public places.
On more than one occasion we have given voice to parents who have openly denounced the dire conditions in which they have had to change their children before the absence of changers in male toilets. This time, the complaint is made by a father from Florida (United States), who has shared some pictures on his Instagram account with the awkward postures that he must adopt every time he has to change the diaper to his little boy away from home.

Seeing the denunciation of this father, and of so many others that have preceded him, it seems incredible to me that at this point we continue like this. How much does it cost to equip male public restrooms with a diaper changing table?
It is true that this option begins to be found more and more frequently in the toilets of men, as well as the unisex stays that both the father and the mother can use to change the baby. But they are not yet the majority, much less, and public complaints are still needed like this, in order to achieve equality in this regard.
In our country there are no legal bases in this regard, so we depend on the "goodwill" of companies and public bodies in facilitating the change of diaper to parents. However, in New York City a bill was passed a few months ago that demands that all men's public restrooms have baby changing tables, in order to guarantee to the parents the same conditions of hygiene and comfort that the mothers have.
Co-responsibility and various family models
It's hard to believe that in a egalitarian society and with different family models, continue to fail measures as basic as this.
We are all clear that fathers and mothers should look after our children equally. The term "co-responsibility" is the order of the day, and even political parties are aware of it when preparing their proposals.
But in addition, it is important to remember that there are various family models, such as single parents with children or homosexual parents with children who have nowhere to change their babies when they go out with them.
Thus, installing changing tables in men's public restrooms is an urgent need, not only for the comfort of the father, but because no baby should have to be changed on the floor or in uncomfortable situations for him.
