Television content in protected hours, unprotected

Just take a look at the different chains on a remote control tour to realize that the television contents in protected hours are not suitable for children. This has been proven by a study conducted by the Teleespectadors Associats de Catalunya (TAC), which puts figures at this obvious violation.

42% of the minutes corresponding to the contents in protected hours violate the Code of Self-regulation of Television and Childhood Contents and the Law of Television without Borders. The time zone from 17.00 to 20.00, which is considered as reinforced protection, has been studied between March 2 and 6 of this year.

The programming in said schedule of eight television networks does not respect that maximum protection, and only one of the channels offered programming specially aimed at children.

For the study, the contents, advertising and self-promotions have been taken into account, as well as the signaling of a total of 180 programs.

The TAC classifies the violations of the Self-Regulation Code in implicit sex, sexism / discrimination / mockery (each occupies 18% of the analyzed contents), physical violence (17%), frivolization / sensationalism (12%), inappropriate language (8 %), asocial behaviors (8%), contempt of the person / violation of privacy (8%), verbal violence (5%), alcoholic beverages (8%) and explicit sex (3%).

Anyway, a whole bunch of jewels that undoubtedly makes us think, who are responsible, why the code is not met, if the fines do not compensate the profits or if there are no fines ...

But above all, at home you have to carry a lot careful to leave children alone before the TV, unprotected, never better said.
