Vicky the Viking goes to the movies

It seems unbelievable that a series of so many years ago is still up to date and the little ones like it three decades after its premiere. Now, the adventures of Vicky the Viking go to the big screen with flesh and blood characters.

This is a German production that will be released this year, directed by Michael Herbig and starring the young Jonas Hämmerle, 11, who will be the film reincarnation of the famous character. The truth is that it looks quite like little Vicky, just as funny with his red hair.

The truth is that I am curious to see how the adventures of this little boy move to the cinema with brilliant ideas that, unlike his rounded companions, put ingenuity before force.

The premiere in Germany and Austria will be on September 9. In Spain, Aurum has acquired the rights for distribution, although there is still no concrete release date.

The plot of the film will feature, as in the cartoon series, with various adventures and strange creatures, such as ghosts and searches for fabulous treasure chests. There is no trailer for Vicky the Viking movie, but the first frames we have been able to see promise and are very close to the image of the Vikings that the cartoons left us.
