A day for Hope, a solidarity party in several Spanish cities

Between April 10 and 25 It will be held in 47 Spanish cities and Andorra A day for Hope, a solidarity party organized by Intermon Oxfam aimed at families and focused on making it possible for more and more people to get out of poverty.

Every minute, 100 people sink into poverty. Convinced that everyone can do something to change this situation, this day has been devised in which parents and children can participate in various recreational activities such as storytelling, workshops, children's games, musical performances and samples of handicrafts and trade products fair.

The proceeds from La Fiesta de la Solidaridad in which more than 3,000 volunteers will collaborate will be allocated to Intermón Oxfam projects dedicated to fighting poverty in some disadvantaged communities.

A representative example is that of the peasant communities of Cayambe, in Ecuador where farmers are not guaranteed irrigation water, essential for maintaining their crops, which are their livelihoods.

Families can put our little grain of sand participating in A Day for Hope by attending with our children to the Solidarity Festival closest to our city. It is also constructive to involve children from small in solidarity actions.
