Just arrived from a visit to Toledo, I can say that it is a wonderful city and highly recommended for families (although be careful if you go with a cart, there are some complicated slopes ...). One of the most anticipated and celebrated activities by children is the ride on the Zocotren, the Toledo Train Vision tourist train.
I recommend you to take this walk through Toledo on the first day of your visit, because in this way we can get an overview of the city, surrounding its wall and contemplating some of its monuments from a different perspective. It is a long journey, which walking with children would take us a lot of time and energy.
In addition, the little train leaves the city, passing over the Tagus and taking us to a viewpoint on the outskirts, from where you get some of the best panoramic views of Toledo. Here we will stop to take pictures. You will love the views!
Another of the incentives of the little train is that next to the ticket they will give us headphones (in several languages) on the points of interest of the route. The "wagons" have several rows of seats that fit four tight adults or two adults and two children comfortably. There are covered and glazed wagons for winter or rain.
