New Ronald McDonald house in Valencia

A couple of days ago I spent next to the Hospital de la Fe in the city of Turia and saw a construction with a sign that was familiar to me. It is a new Ronald McDonald House in Valencia, a place where relatives of hospitalized children can stay temporarily.

I liked to see that in the city there is that possibility for the families of small patients, because whenever we talk about people in that situation, all help is little. And when it comes to children who live in locations far from the hospital and have to be admitted for a long period, being able to have accommodation next to the hospital is vital for their families. The house aims to become "a home outside the home".

There are already three Ronald McDonald houses in Spain (there are 325 houses worldwide), just a while ago we were talking about the inauguration of the second house in Malaga (the first one is in Barcelona). That of Valencia has been running for a few months (since February 28, 2013), an event that will undoubtedly thank many families.

In these times, giving an account of this type of news is pleasant and surprising. Hopefully in the future, along with the Ronald McDonald House of Valencia and those of the preceding cities, new houses that make the lives of hospitalized children and their families easier.
