The Penguin Madrid charity campaign of Faunia gets 201,202 euros for children and people with disabilities

The street action completed in Madrid and with which Faunia has gotten the Sculptures Solidarity Penguin King 2.15 meters high, they have finally contributed to good causes. And it is that the king penguin is an animal that children love, and more if they see it evolve in Faunia in a space that recreates their habitat. This animal is the second largest in the world, after the Emperor, and can reach up to one meter in length.

Each and every one of the 20 giant figures that populated the streets of Madrid were linked to solidarity projects and had the sponsorship of a public figure. They also included the design of a recognized artist and also had the support of sponsors and collaborators.

Finally the 20 penguins have been auctioned on September 11, 2012 in Retirement Room. The 20 figures, made of fiberglass, already have owners and their Full collection will go to social projects related to children and people with intellectual disabilities. All the foundations that have participated, according to Faunia, are: Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation, FEAPS Madrid, Father Garralda, Juan XXIII, Asion, Make a wish Spain, Emilio Sánchez Vicario Foundation, AEFAT, Menudos Corazones, Juegaterapia, Isabel Gemio Foundation , Theodora and FEDER.

The greatest value of the afternoon was the one achieved by the Carolina Herrera de Báez design in favor of the Music Therapy Project of the Menudos Corazones Foundation for seriously ill hospitalized children

According to the organization, whose head can be seen in the image, in one hour all the sculptures were awarded to their new owners. We recall that the works have been signed by Kukuxumusu, Roberto Verino, Alberto Corazón, Joaquín Torres, Okuda, Lorenzo Caprile, Ouka Leele, Juana Martín, Carolina Machín, Ángel Schlesser, Victorio & Lucchino, Tomás Alía, Cristóbal Gabarrón, Adolfo Domínguez, Francis Montesinos, Devota & Lomba, in addition to the kids being able to participate with their own designs from home and from school.

We are very happy for the success of the initiative and we thank Faunia for the deployment made in the capital of Spain. We were lucky to see several penguins in Madrid and they were impressive, full of color, large and beautifully designed. A great idea that has also resulted in solidarity with many in need.
